1400 ( fourteen hundred ) gentle miles.
The FLSTFSE2 Screamin’ Eagle Fat Boy went wide for 2006, as the powerful street cruiser from Harley-Davidson Custom Vehicle Operations (CVO) hit the street sporting a new 200mm rear tire and an all-new custom paint scheme guaranteed to turn heads. Back for an encore is the Screamin’ Eagle 103 Stroker Twin Cam engine, tuned to deliver more than 96 ft. lbs. of torque to that meaty rear tire as it powers the Screamin’ Eagle Fat Boy down the street.
The Harley-Davidson CVO program creates low-volume, custom performance motorcycles produced by a hand-picked team of technicians in a special assembly area at the Harley-Davidson.
The fuel-injected, counter-balanced Screamin’ Eagle 103 Stroker Twin Cam displaces 103 cubic inches (1690cc), the largest engine displacement offered in a production Harley-Davidson, and produces more than 96 ft. lbs. of torque at 4000 rpm. Based on the standard Twin Cam 88B V-Twin, the Screamin’ Eagle 103 Stroker features big-bore cylinders and a new flywheel assembly, pistons and balance shaft to increase bore and stroke from 95.3 x 101.6 mm to 98.3 x 111 mm. A heavy-duty clutch is hydraulically controlled. A Stage 1 air cleaner kit fits under the teardrop shaped chrome air-cleaner cover. Slash-down mufflers feature bright chrome heat shields.?
The color combo for this 2006 Screamin’ Eagle Fat Boy is Canyon Copper and Concord Purple. The paint, graphics, and pinstripes on all CVO bikes are applied by hand, and are impeccable. It’s paint design features ghost flames and the industrial, clear-coat-covered metal grind accents. The frame, frame inserts and swingarm are color-matched to the body paint.??New Buskshot hand grips match the Buckshot accessory collection that includes mirrors, strut covers, rear brake pedal, footboard inserts, shift lever, shifter linkage and derby cover. The seat rests on a chrome-plated steel pan and a decorative chrome pillion is perched on top of the rear fender. A Harley-Davidson alarm system with siren and a special CVO key and CVO storage cover are standard equipment with this custom motorcycle.
For the uninitiated, CVO stands for Custom Vehicle Operations. The CVO department at the Motor Company is a relatively small, and has been producing small numbers of very special Harley-Davidson’s whose street names might be more familiar to you as the "Screamin' Eagle" bikes.
All models of Screamin' Eagles have three things in common: they have hot performance engines, they have enough stylish brightwork to outfit a dozen rap artists, and they're hand-built in limited numbers like fine collectibles.
The 2006 Screamin' Eagle Fat Boy was produced only 3,900 times. With only 10,000 CVO bikes out of a total number of 300,000 or so Harley builds for the world; owning a Screaming Eagle puts one in a seriously exclusive club.
