this is NOT special construction- it is fully registered in CA. It is insured as a Red Hot Custom.
Built in 05/06, with Scott Long (Central Coast Cycles), Darin Morris (BigDzings/BungKing), and myself
This bike is a total one-of-a-kind Bobber.
This bike looks amazingly simple and clean but there are ALL kinds of things going on when you take a closer look---
The pictures tell the story but here is a list of all the specs:
-Paughco Bros. Frame 4spd style but carries a full S&S 94cu.in. retro style shovelhead - full BOBBER look
-60 spoke chrome Midwest wheels
-Custom fab handlebars- base is stock HD, then used 'bikini bars' for final turn and angle
-Exile Cycles Hidden Twist Clutch
-Exile Cycles Hidden Trottle
-Front 18x130 Rear 16x150
-NOTE- NO Levers- the brakes:
-Rear and Front brake lines route through a proportioning valve and are both controlled with the right foot - the front is reduced 10% so it will NOT lock up. The braking is fully balanced and works GREAT with only the right foot.
-Exile Cycles "Sproter". This is a single disc rotor with the chain sproket incorporated into the single disc (see picture). The look is extremely clean and simple
-Seat is hand tooled and baseball stitched by Derol Frye. His work has been on the cover of Easy Rider bikes and others. The design matches the paint scheme
-Seat is sprung via struts (matching the fender struts) that travel down to the frame and through a cantilever system with a FOX BMX racing shock- fully adjustable but the bike still is a rigid.
This bike is amazingly comfortable because of this seat system. Springs bounce- this shock actually dampens and absorbs the shock- it is GREAT
-Beehive style tail light with incorporated ignition key
-Front end is Pro-1 wide-glide, the most clean style available not fender tabs or other crap- simple and clean, just like the style of the bike
-S&S Shovel head- this is the new motor that first appeared in '05. It is NOT a cone motor, but generator appearance. We plumbed the oil filter where the generator normally would go on this original motor ('75 style Shvl) - again, look closely at the pictures of the motor.
-Ignition is Dyna2000 electronic ignition system. under the rotor cap are the digital dip switches. again- looks like an old school, but totally hi-tech inside...
-5 speed in a 4 Tranny from Trikshift- works great...
-Primary open 2" belt system from Tech Cycle
-Chain is sealed Gold custom
-Fuel Tank and Oil Bag are fully fabricated custom
Custom Paint by Darin Morris and Greedy Fly Graphic, San Jose CA
-No speedometer or odometer. the 5k mileage is an estimate-
She has been only ridden in Santa Cruz County and a couple of trips over to Los Gatos (45 miles). This is my 'bar-hopper' and county line bike--- I have a full bagger for my long trips.
This is a $25k bike but with today's economy, is an steal at $10k which is where the bidding starts. no reserve above that.
Buyer is responsible for transporting from Santa Cruz CA or pick it up here
No warranty, sold as-is
this bike runs great and is a BLAST to ride. It creates a crowd where ever I ride her.
I can provide more pictures upon request.
