This is a 1976 Sportster XLH1000. I bought this to be a project bike, but have a new baby and no time to work on it. This is a numbers matching bike. This bike is cold blooded, but once it warms up it runs well. The bike features a superglide front end, Fat Bob tank and dash, newer sportster seat, Mikuni Carb, K&N air filter, electric start only, Harley brand oil cooler, drag pipes and a wideglide rear fender. The bike has no key for the starter switch, but you can use a bike lock or get a new key and switch through JP cycle parts. This bike has a small crack in the right side cover as shown in pics. Tires are good. These are the new parts I have put on, A 2002 sportster front rim laced into original hub and professionally trued, front wheel bearings and races, Carb cleaned, Carb boot, intake clamps and rubber bands, New fuel line and fuel filter, battery, oil filter, spark plug wires, spark plugs and case plugs. Comes with Harley Tech manual and Hanes Manual. I'm not an expert, but this is what I believe needs fixing. The bike is hard to shift, so I think it needs the clutch adjusted or replaced, carb needs tuned, needs front brake system rebuilt, needs rear brake shoes replaced, needs a new throttle cable and needs timing adjusted. This would make a great project bike. The odometer reads 10925, but this is not the original speedo, so I'm unsure of the exact miles. Has a clear title. Call (309)251-6445 with questions.
