1970 Harley-Davidson FLH Electra Glide

This motorcycle is in very good condition with 33,548 original miles. It’s not a ‘barn-find’ and I do not consider it to be a restoration. It has been well maintained over the years, has always been parked inside, and is in very good mechanical condition. I would feel comfortable cranking it and riding it anywhere. It has the original 74 C.I. motor and 4 speed transmission. The numbers match and it has a clear title. I am the third owner of the bike and have owned it for 14 years.

The paint is not original but retains the original paint scheme. The tires are not the original double line whitewalls but are new with less than 100 miles on them. The carburetor is the original Tillotson and was rebuilt approximately 300 miles ago. The carburetor has been fitted with an optional (and hard to find) Harley adjustable main jet. It has the original thru-the-handlebar throttle cable. The Tour Pac has never been used since I have owned the bike and it has some sort of quarter size spill on it that looks like black paint. The exhaust has been replaced with an aftermarket Paughco system. It maintains the original appearance but has no crossover pipe. It sounds much better than the crappy sound of the original Harley pipes with the crossover. The lack of a crossover has never created a back pressure problem and there is no noticeable difference in the power band. The original owner’s manual is included but part of the cover is torn off.
